We are celebrating Dr. Seuss Week all week long at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center! Join us for storytimes and Seuss-tastic activities all week! All activities are included with museum admission.
Sun., March 1st: Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! We're celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with birthday treats on the patio in front of the museum at noon, creating whimsical Dr. Seuss party hats in the Art Room, Dr. Seuss bingo in the Science Room from 12-1:30pm, and "The Cat in the Hat" storytime at 2pm.
Tues., March 3rd: "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" - We'll have storytime in the Party Room at 3pm, "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and we'll be making Oobleck after storytime.
Wed., March 4th: "It's Wacky Wednesday": Come to the museum dressed in your favorite "wacky attire" and we'll have storytime at 11:30am in Bear Camp Bayou and at 3:30pm in the History Hotel.
Thurs., March 5th: "Green Eggs and Ham..." - We're making a Pop-Art "Green Eggs and Ham" in the Art Room. Storytime in Bear Camp Bayou at 11:30am and in the History Hotel at 3:30pm.
Fri., March 6th: "We speak for the trees..."! Reading of the Lorax at 3pm and we'll be making edible Truffula Trees to follow.
Sat., March 7th: "Red Fish, Blue Fish and a Rainbow Fish Too!" We're reading "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish" in the Pet Vet at 1:30pm with a counting game to follow. Some of the WINGS cast from The Rainbow Fish Musical will do a meet and greet in the museum and a Rainbow Fish art activity in the Art Room.
