Admission to the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum is free on the third Saturday of every month. 

Located in the heart of downtown Jackson, the museum explores over 15,000 years of state history. Visitors will enjoy innovative exhibits, educational programs, and hundreds of artifacts. The Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum opened on December 9, 2017, in celebration of the state’s bicentennial.
