The Natchez Balloon Festival, established in 1986, is a weekend of hot-air balloons and outstanding live music that has become the largest and most successful festival in Southwest Mississippi. The festival site is located in historic downtown Natchez in the parklike grounds of the columned mansion Rosalie, built almost 200 years ago on the Natchez bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. In addition to history, spectacular views of the Mississippi River, hot-air balloons, and live music, the festival includes a balloon glow, fireworks display, arts and crafts fair, carnival rides, and a bier-garten featuring regional craft beers.
The Natchez Balloon Festival is far from an adults-only event. Located adjacent to the Rosalie festival site are a variety of carnival games and rides. Although games and rides vary from year to year, you can count on kid-friendly entertainment. From the carousel to cotton candy kids are certain to enjoy their time in the festival atmosphere. Tickets to the rides and games are sold on-site only.
